Description of Services
Our five core services include, INFORMATION AND REFERRAL, PEER SUPPORT, ADVOCACY, INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS AND TRANSITION.
We provide a wide variety of programs, including, education to elementary schools with KIDS ON THE BLOCK awareness and anti-bullying to persons with disabilities and in general. We assist with transitions from nursing facilities back to home when possible as well as incarcerated individuals back to community. We serve 8 counties including Jefferson Co. Teach ILS such as Hygiene, Safety, Cooking, Budgeting, Employment, Decision Making, Socialization and Self Advocacy. Anyone who self-identifies with a disability is eligible and all of our services are FREE of charge.
