The Urban Mission provides emergency relief for individuals and families in need of food.

Emergency Food: If you or someone you know is in need of emergency food, we invite you to visit the Urban Mission Food Warehouse, located at 311 North 6th Street, Steubenville, OH, 43952. We are open every Monday – Friday, from 9am to 4pm (6pm on Wednesdays) for emergency food assistance.

To sign up for food assistance is easy! Just follow these steps:

1. Come to the Urban Mission Food Warehouse, located at 311 North 6th Street, Steubenville, OH, 43952, any Monday – Friday, from 9am to 5pm (6pm on Wednesdays.) Parking is available in the lot across the street.

2. Bring your Photo ID as well as a utility bill or something with your current address on it.

3. Spend a few minutes with an Urban Mission staff member answering questions, such as: the number of people in your household - including their birthdays, household income and if you have any additional needs in which we may be able to help you.

If someone is unable to visit the pantry on their own, the Urban Mission does honor the use of a Proxy. To become a Proxy for someone, please complete a Proxy Form.

Our weekly food distributions occur at our Food Warehouse, located at 311 North 6th Street, Steubenville, Ohio 43952. We are open every Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and open until 6 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Hot Meals: The Urban Mission currently serves a hot meal to go from noon until 1 p.m. every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at our site, located at 142 North 6th Street in Steubenville. A hot meal to go is served on Saturdays from noon until 1 p.m. at our downtown Steubenville location at 301 North 5th Street.
